So I haven't post in a while but I have been working on some black out high gloss black. They were quite a pain to get the lense off with the oven trick and during the process I laid one of the buckets on a reflector and warped it so I think I am going to leave then out. What you guys think? Tonight I was going to put them altogether after one more coat of paint and got orange peel fml well sanding tomorrow

So step 1

Find a second set of lights because your going to get pissed off trying to get them apart. Mine 50 bucks stole them

Then put 1 light at a time in the oven on about 275 right side up or you will melt the top mount.

Don't listen to YouTube leave them for about 12 minutes and work them from the large clips

Dig in with a flat head pry out don't worry about the plastic you can heat it and mold it back

Put the bucket back in to loosen the glue it helps on removal.

The rest choose your color prep paint

I used RTV Sealant adhesive Black filled the channels pressed into place left a racket strap on till sealant was no longer tacky, make sure you cover the lense with cloth.

Your going to need 2 tubes of the sealant one for each and amber turn signal bulbs 3157 found that out afterwards oops

Be patient and good luck

I wanted to do this but I tried on my stock headlights and messed up :superhack:
I would like these over the stock projectors if I could do it myself and stick a led cube on the bottom and a bi projector on the top but I doubt I'm going to try and take apart a new set lol
Good job the look great

Look at it this way, used stock quad headlights are a dime to a dozen and cheap. I'll be using a heat gun to open mine up. Then again it's permaseal guess I'll need to jack it open lol

I was thinking for using sealent wouldn't this stuff work well? Since it can be shaped and maintains pliability so one can again reopen easily for future mods or touch ups.

Also, noticed you sprayed the reflector part for the turn signal. Wonder how that effects the output.

I would think that it would work overall just needs to seal enough to hold moisture out. As far as the reflector area you were talking about i left it out because I warped one and just changed out the bulb to the orange type and still plenty bright when on. As far as sealant that is why I pulled all the perma **** out and went with sealant adhesive rtv
