I spoke to Mario at Gearhead Fabrications in Stuart Florida they do a lot of fast Mopar Hellcats and stuff and he said the procharger will make more power up top but the whipple will make more grunt off the line in day to day use. I am doing the whipple

It’s a good choice, for a street truck your not spending that much time at high rpm where the procharger might have a slight advantage.
It's definitely new. Modelled after the Hellcat controller. After talking with Dave about It, I luv it! Having it installed with mine. It really could help save some unmodified parts. Check some videos out on Facebook and Instagram @ @modern_muscle_xtreme. It is smooth, really.

The hellcat uses a throttle body off a 2.4 4cyl as the bypass valve. Being able to infinitely control the bypass valve gives them fantastic drive ability. Where as the vacuum actuated bypass valves kind of make it more like a light switch.

I’ll probably wait a little bit before pulling the trigger on one. I plan to turn the boost up on mine a bit eventually so that controller would be a great addition.

Really? Dave took control of my build. Basically said f*$% the forged 392 with a built 6speed our the superstreet nag and finalized the whippled forged 426 with the built 8hp75 conversion. Here's the kicker, a lot of it is his dime! I'll repeat That, the first $30,000 is my dime, the next $$$$$$ is his dime. Go figure, he did pretty much the same thing with azn's jeep. That dude is a retired NASCAR engine builder, only specializes in custom builds. You sure you got that right? Maybe I'm misunderstanding your post. I find the whole MMX TEAM innovative and always want to be in control of the build. Just so you kn ow, my tuner is AJ Burge with Jim @ True Street Proformance. Not a a. Bad word?

yeah, sorry, should have been more specific. Not a bad word to say about the folks at TorqStorm. They were knowledgable and helpful, I was actually complimenting their approach that they won't just slap something together, they want you to be thoughtful and have a plan with a good builder/tuner. I learned a lot from a ten minute phone call.

Serpentine belts are a limiting factor from my experience. They slip while increasing boost and slip on decel. This takes a lot of shock off the head unit but limit the amount of overal boost available. 10-12psi. IMO using a cog drive is the only way to go...

In my honest opinion wipple is the way I'd go. No major brackets to bolt up, no Goofy air filter location and when you pop The hood and see a Whipple it's just that much cooler. Plus I like the idea of having engine oil lubing it not a stand alone system like some prochargers use. Most people forget to check the oil in them and cook them.
Just my two cents tho. Performance is the same.
I have had Whipple and would buy one again.
