The parts stores can no longer compete their prices are inflated really bad. Unless I need something the same day its rockauto and amazon only its worth waiting a day.

It costs me 5 dollars minimum when the truck leaves the driveway, so traveling is baked in to the price of everything I consume. Why drive ten miles when they deliver my cheese it's for free? Not even going to start with who's cheaper. We have a super store hardware store with a drive through wood and pipe lot, the largest hardware store I ever seen and it is 5 miles to my house. Despite being a mega store, there is at least 50% of the hardware items I consume/use that I couldn't even buy them there if I wanted too. I love the store, anyone who shops at friedman brothers in Sonoma county is truly blessed. But as big as it is, amazon is bigger, lol. I understand about centralization and I understand about super monopoly and what's coming as far as pricing. But if anything Amazon has kept everyone else honest. I'm gonna bet whatever ideological issues that might take place, it will be for the next generation, because for me I see no downside. In practice, Amazon is fair on prices and then some.
And if your wife goes along it is automatically going to cost you more, no matter what---

203 Amazon orders this year, I will not stop purcha$ing. You are under the assumption that AMZ is ALWAYS the lowest. This is simply not the case. You do not know how to shop. You know how to buy, but not shop. We live in a free market economy (both Canada and USA) and sometimes items do not get priced equally within your time-frame. There are plenty of reputable automotive distributors online. Amazon is actually not the best due to their proliferation of cheap Chinese brands. Lower your expectations and work harder at price matching other online retailers. And when you do find it on AMZ, be sure it is high enough quality for your needs/expectations.

A lot of posts which merely display anger, which is actually jealousy, that someone else might be gouging and getting-away-with-it.

In fact, the Consumer is who is in-control. He pays what he’s willing to pay…and THAT decision is what drives the marketplace…at Amazon…or any other.

I don’t care for Bezos because he forgets he’s merely one of the community. But he’s only doing what a “free enterprise” society does…. he reaps what the market will bear… (and there appears to be a lot of jealousy over whatever type female he attracts with his money… LOLOL Those are not the gold-digger types that interest me… I’m glad he gets ‘em off the “marketplace” LOL)

Amazon does not bear responsibility for what sellers set for pricing…or for what consumers might pay…for identical, or lower-quality goods.

Amazon is the modern catalog-store Sears and Roebucks. (in fact, Sears simply “missed the boat” for unknown reasons they let Bezos have the reins.

I live rural…and like others have mentioned…sometimes it’s worth it to shop Amazon…or some Other online-marketplace. It’s not worth the time, fuel, and trouble to go to town to shop-around multiple stores …when I can “get ‘er done” in a few minutes on the lap-top…and when I can reject/return the product if I don’t like it without having to pay re-packaging/shipping. It’s a no-brainer…and I’m Glad to have a service such as Amazon.)

It is ME..who makes the decisions where and how to spend my money…not Bezos…and not anyone at an online discussion-forum.

I Do have a question, however: WHO is paying to rebuild the publicly-owned launch-pad Bezos blew-up…?
And How Much de WE make when Blue-Horizon or Space-X uses OUR facilities..?

And WHY….. WHY…are we going back to that Dusty, Old Rock we call the Moon? BTDT and there ain’t Nothing There that’s worth the trouble and expense ..that we SHOULD be spending here on Earth to stop ruining our planet…our only living-place… and that we should be spending exploring the deep oceans.

That’s my rant for the day.
"In fact, the Consumer is who is in-control. He pays what he’s willing to pay…and THAT decision is what drives the marketplace…at Amazon…or any other."

That sentence says it all!
