Ok I stand corrected. I must have read wrong. I still have the Denso plugs in my truck. Been in now for a couple weeks. It still runs great on my street tune but from the last post it may not for much longer. Damn, I wish there was a plug you could run all the time that would be a happy medium. .
Oh well..

Yeah I didn't think you could get away with running that cold of a plug on the street. I was more so asking about what would happen to the stock plugs and now I know. Thanks charonblk.

Don't have jetting for 75, wonder if 100 will be pushing it? Or should I step down to 50 since I have jetting for that.

I talked with the techs at both NGK and Brisk to find the proper plugs to run in my truck. That's what I would do if I were you. NGK tech line # is 877-473-6767 and the Brisk tech line is 713-459-6977. Both were very informative right down to the proper plug gaps.

I went ahead and jetted for 100 and made a test pass on stock plugs and sean's nitrous tune. Ran a log and it didn't have any knock retard or other warning signs during the test hit. Ran a consistent 10.8 AFR though, but I'm not gonna mess with jetting til I go t the track and up it to 150 on the densos.

It pulled hard on the 100 shot. It's running too rich though, and I'm already down a size on the fuel jet because they didn't include a 29, they included a 28. I'm gonna run it tomorrow at the track and see what happens with the new plugs, the 150 tune, and the 150 shot. If the jetting chart holds true, it's gonna run pig rich. Something tells me I'm gonna need to order a bunch of jets.

I ended up ordering 75, 125, and 175 jets to add with my kit. Jets aren't very expensive, so its worth having extras to help fine tune.

Agreed. Besides, when I'm done with the track, I wanna throw the Jets in for a 75 shot to leave installed in case I get a red light warrior that needs a whoopin.

Be careful leaving it hooked up on the street. Some states it's highly illegal with big fines

Hmm. Didn't think about that. It's not in there at the moment, but that might hamper my future plans. Oh well. Safety is more important

The heat will raise the pressure and it will pop the valve. You will have a frozen mess everywheres. I knew someone who forgot to turn off his bottle heater. The bottle was in the trunk and when it popped the valve i thought the bottle blew up.

That is what blow down tubes are for. It relieves the nitrous through the tube and outside of the cab. There have been multiple cars that have literally exploded because the pressure in the bottle got too high, and they did not have a blow down tube installed. Blow down tubes are included in all of the accessory kits from Nitrous Outlet, and I'm sure the other manufacturers do the same.

I still wouldnt leave a bottle in a vehicle with this heat regardless.

Newer bottles are much more advanced , so it shouldn't be a problem if you did leave it in the truck. Having said that, I agree with you, and I wouldn't leave it in the truck unless you know you are going to be using it that day. Not worth the risk of damage to you/your truck or the risk of getting caught by the police.

Well I probably picked the worst night imaginable to try to tune this ****. It's 91 degrees at 1130 at night, and 99 percent humidity. Track is overcrowded.

But I ran a best of 8.89 on motor only, and 8.18 on the bottle. That's still running rich and having serious traction problems.I think I can get this into the 7s. Mind yall this is my home track, which is 60 feet short so the times are a touch off.

But hey, it works and it didn't go boom.

I have a question about spraying through the shift. It feels weird. Like its bogging down. AFR barely fluctuates though. Is that normal?

Great job, what was your mile per hour on both of those runs?
I'm just wondering because when I tried my nitrous at the track I did pick up over 5 tenths from off the bottle to on the bottle. But it was running way rich and fell off by the 330' and my mile per hour was slower in the 1/8 and in the 1/4 mile.
Should have her dialed in soon though, I hope... lol
Thanks, Bill

Do you have a transmission tune with the torque management removed? Sounds like the bogging between shifts could be from clutch overlap and the reason I don't spray through the shifts, plus I run full TM.
