Just looks at my rear pads and rotors
No grooves
Plenty of pad
No visible sign of damage etc.
Any one else have these issues of rear brakes intermittently squalling a high pitch squeal ?

I had the same issue at 48k miles. The noisy corner was my front drivers side. Rotors looked good and plenty of meat on the pads. They simply crystallized. 80% of the time it generate a loud squeal coming to a slow stop. I replaced my rotors and pads two days ago, front and rear. Problem solved. The stealership wanted to rob me of $675 to turn my rotors and replace the pads.. I purchased upgraded rotors and pads for $400 and did the job myself. You can also find cheaper sets at $200 on ebay and amazon, but you get what you pay for if you catch my drift. My brakes are now quiet and respond better than factory. At the very least I'd suggest buying your own set and paying a mom & pop shop to install, if you are not inclined to do the work. You'll still come out ahead with upgraded equipment.

Mine do that as well. Right rear. If I press hard on them it won’t squeal. But just a light press and it does it non stop. The pads from factory are awful. Even new ones just from Advance are better than what is on it now.

I’m just too cheap and can’t get myself to replace them till they wear out. Same as the awful Goodyears that came on it.

Mine did it too! 2016 1500 with 21k miles. I said "screw this noise" lol, and installed a complete brake kit from R1 Concepts that I ordered from Nick@gotexhaust, they are INCREDIBLE!!! Fantastic stopping power and ZERO noise and no dust to speak of!!!!

the newer pads Ram is using has a lot of metallic in them. my buddy just had the dealer do his brakes on his 3500 and they squeal really bad. you can always take your rotors and scuff them up and lube the brake system up to help. only thing that will fix it 100% is upgrade to after market.
