I put one of those in a few months ago. Couple of problems I ran into.
1. Had to trim the upper shroud about an inch or so. It was too tight and hitting up against the belt and pulleys.
2. The side where the A/C lines mount do not line up. I still need to rig something up to bolt the holder on. Thinking of using a spacer and longer bolt, haven't gotten around to it yet.
3. It comes with a 19 lb cap. Stock is 16. Been using the 19 and haven't had any issues yet, but, may switch back to the stock cap.
4. The lower "skid plate" does not line up with the mounting holes on the lower shroud. Need to make new holes to get it back on. haven't done that yet, either. I will eventually.

Other than that, it is working well. takes a little longer to warm up, but, not too much more.

Here's a link to the post I made, with some pictures

Any chance you could put your write up as it's own thread, that would be easily findable. It's a very good post, but it's buried in a thread that makes it hard to find

Going with a lower pressure radiator cap just lowers the boiling point of the coolant. It might give you the option to pull over and shut the engine down before it blows the coolant out.
There's been some members on an EcoD forum that have upgraded their radiator to radiator you installed, they said it makes a considerable difference in cooling as the lower part of the radiator is heat soaked by the intercooler.
The 3.6, 6.4, EcoDiesel, Cummins and other various motors by Dodge all use a 21 psi rated radiator cap.

Also, for the time being while I order parts, etc, is it fine to just top off with coolant as it continues to leak?
NO NO NO!!!!!!! As the coolant volume drops while driving, air replaces that lost volume. The air becomes very tiny bubbles that have incredible destructive properties when hot, but not ably properly pressurized so as to neutralize their destructive deeds! (Hydrodynamic cavitation)

So... the reservoir dipstick looks like this. :( Topped off with coolant for now. What should I be concerned about... Is it rust?

Can you clean it off? If you can, just may be rusts/deposits from old coolant/water. Looks like the coolant got really hot and discolored the plastic.

Have you put any coolant in since youve had the truck? What kind?

Reason I ask is because mixing different coolants can create a sludge in the system, and that WILL cause problems if not cleaned out of the cooling system.

The coolant in our late-model Rams is purple when new and turns reddish when it heats up.

It is Mopar 10 year 150k mile OAT coolant.

68163848AB - Concentrate
68163849AB - 50/50 Premixed

It's much cheaper to buy the concentrate and distilled water and mix yourself, you get twice the coolant.

The Concentrate and Premixed are very close in price.

I bought the truck used about 4 years ago and have not put in any coolant myself. I bought the purple stuff 50/50 mixed for topping off in the short term and I ordered a bottle of the concentrate for when I do the install/flush. As for what coolant was/is in there before, I can't be sure. The color of the coolant that was leaking was a reddish/brownish color. Unclear if that's the dye of the coolant or from rust...

That dipstick for your reservoir looks terrible. Mine was a little discolored, but not too bad.

I would recommend removing your coolant reservoir so you can clean it thoroughly, esp. since removing the grille makes it easier to unbolt and detach the condenser coil.

It will be interesting to see what the coolant in your rig looks like.

@Ken226 posted a link for the grille clips in another thread, might be in my "Overheat, HELP!" thread. I think I broke all 4 of mine.....lol.

Get yourself a coolant funnel kit. It will help you burp the system.

2013 was the first year for the purple kool-aid found in these trucks. Over time the coolant turns from purple to an orangish-rose color. It will usually turn back to a purpleish color when warm but that hard to tell unless the truck uses a degas bottle.
One thing that can turn the coolant a rust brown color is if the system was topped off with a green/yellow based universal coolant.

Make sure you change your TSTAT and check your water pump while things are apart prob never changed.
If his original T-stat is still working okay,i'd leave it alone, there isn't a replacement t-stat these days that's worth a crap.
I'd use a 10 year old factory T-stat that's still working good,long before i'd use a new t-stat,lol

Replace radiator and coolent. Good time to look at hoses too. Temporary fix is to pour some pepper in with coolant. Very temporary (a day or two). I can see someone rolling there eyes right now!!

The little granules circulate through the system and and are pushed into hole, plugging leak.
