Here is a picture of my build sheet on my 2012 Outdoorsman.. Lists both 3.92 and 3.55 rear axle ratios.. I always thought I had 3.92 until I looked at this, how do I know what I really have

First, that's not a build sheet--it's a Monroney label (also known as a window sticker). It shows that your truck was equipped with a package that includes the 3.92 axle ratio. Later on, the 3.55 ratio is individually listed. This makes me believe whoever ordered your truck decided to step down to the 3.55 ratio. If they did this, I would expect it to give you a credit (ie--have a negative price listed). What does your sticker say?

To know for sure what you have, there are three possible methods:

1) Look at an actual build sheet and see what it says
2) Inspect your axle housings for any identifying marks that may be present (assuming Dodge does this)
3) jack up the rear end, rotate the drive shaft and count tire revolutions

It adds $50 to the price next to the 3.55 ratio. Where would I go about finding a build sheet? I already tried looking on the axle and didn't see anything

My Wrangler also says this, but I don't know if the Ram axles do.

Where on the axle did yours say? I can't seem to find any sticker, but there looks like theres a spot where one may have been but fell off, not 100% sure though.

I found a pic where it says it. Drivers side of the axle.

You can see mine says 3.55

I'm leaning towards having 3.55's from what I see online :suicide:

As far as stickers, I'm quite sure mine fell off after looking under there and seeing where it should be

I know you have a 2012, but aren't 3.55's standard on the 2013 Outdoorsman trucks? I'm guessing that you have the 3.92's.

Like I said earlier, just pm me the VIN and I will send the build sheet to you.

Albert

Should just need the last 8 of the VIN if I remember correctly
