I just recently installed led's in all 4 corners on my 11 Ram. Everything works great, no hyper flash or bulb out message, and i love the clean look of "fast" on and off cycle of led's. 2 days ago i i got a bulb out message saying left rear bulb out. scratched my head and thought, well, even if the bulb is out, it shouldnt say that because of having resistors. double checked to make sure bulb is working, and is working just fine, except ive got hyper flash now because the computer thinks the bulb is out. funny thing is, it comes and goes. sometimes the message is out, sometimes its on. any one else ever run into this??????

The connections good on the resistor?

Never have heard this happen, but maybe the resistor went bad.

Mine comes an goes every once and a while even with resistors. Once I put the truck in reverse though it goes away and stays away for a few days

Is there no electronic flasher relay for these trucks? They work much better then wiring in resistors. Also if you just bought generic resistors then the resistance may not be correct. Each manufacturers system is a bit different and requires a specific resistance. This was brought to my attention when putting led blinkers on a motorcycle.

Nope, it's all tied in with the BCM. MOst newer cars are like that. Maybe some day they will integrate a resistor into the LEDS.

I wish there was a electronic flasher relay, it was a easy 5 minute $5 swap in my Grand Prix to run all LEDs and never a signal issue.

Check the connections if they are good you may need to try a different resistor. I also miss the older setups. My 98 Trans Am has all led's and HID's. Didn't need any canbus ballasts for the hid's just a $40 plain kit and it has worked for 5 years now. The led's were just as easy. Swap the bulbs and cost me $4 for a electronic flasher relay. My 14 Express came with the black package so the only led's I added were some plain ones in the reverse and plate lights and got no error message and I have Canbus led's in the cargo lamps. The ones in the cargo lamps are bright but with the canbus resistor built in they are bigger and heavier than normal LED bulbs plus more expensive.
