Sorry for another Bullydog thread but I can't really find the answers that I am looking for anywhere...

I just purchased a Bullydog GT Tuner for my 2012 2500 from a member on here. I know that tons of people are running these tuners but I'm scared that it is going to void my warranty. How easy is it to unmarry the tuner in case the truck needs to go back to the dealership?

Also, I want to get the pillar mount. What color are the dang things?

First question, to UN-marry is as simple as loading up a tune. You just tell it to go to stock tune and it will put it all back like it was before you turned it. Second question, its really a question of the circumstances for the warranty, if something happened and you are unable to remove the tune, or your forget to remove it, and they find it, they can use it against you on warranty. Some dealers will sell you a tuner, other will not touch your truck if they find you had one, its all a question of circumstances. Putting a piler mount only gives them something more to say you have a tuner, I tune my truck and then pull the tuner out of it. If you put a mount and remove it when going to the dealer if you go to the dealer, then there should be no problem, if you tune your truck every day, then the ECU will show that you accessed it every day, that may bring up some bells. If you tune it, leave it tuned, and then have to put it back to stock to bring it at the dealer, they will see that there was an access to the ECU, no big deal, if the question it, you can say you got a code and had it checked at an autozone or something. Yes, as for warranty and as per the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act they have to prove that the tuner cause the failure, the only problem with that is the amount of time and money you will spend proving otherwise to Chrysler. Its really up to you. Hope this helps
