Bumper Replacement

Well, my baby got its first blemish. I was in a right turn yield lane this weekend and the guy in front of me went through the sign, so I looked back to see if I was clear to go too and for some reason, he decided to slam on his brakes. I managed to stop enough to avoid major catastrophe, but his trailer hitch got my bumper.

I have an outdoorsman with the chrome bumpers. It's really not bad enough for me to want to run out and drop $$ to get it fixed right away, so I'm debating if I just want to fix/replace what's there, or use this as an excuse to upgrade.

Anyone have experience/opinions/advice/suggestions on front replacement bumpers? I've had Ranch Hand stuff on previous trucks, but I'm wondering if something that heavy duty would look silly on my 2wd. I kinda like their newer, lighter bullnose bumpers. What do y'all think?

Curious myself, I have the plastic front bumper, the only plastic on my truck!

I would love to get a metal bumper but all the beefy, heavy duty metal bumpers are cut so high that it changes the entire front end look and just do not like it. I like how low the bumpers go but I was that length in metal.

I'd suggest you make sure you see a picture of any Ram replacement bumper you're considering, directly from the side. The reason is almost all aftermarket bumpers I've seen for the fourth generation Rams stick out a country mile. If you notice, Road Armor, Fab Fours, etc. always show you pictures from the front or at an angle. Fusion is the only one I've seen that doesn't stick out that far.
