Bumper swaps

Will a 2001 bumper that is color matched to the truck fit a 98? Im talking about the one that has the big fog light holes beneath the headlights. Mine has the chrome with the fog lights more under the grill. I want that newer look on mt 98.

That would be the sport bumper. I would think it would fit since guys do the conversions all the time but you might need new mounting brakets not sure. Also if you do that you might want to look into a new grille also. Otherwise you will have a big space

Yep you will need, the bumper, the bumper cover, the brackets, and also the sport grille, and the frame behind it, as that is different too

Thanks man that helps alot. Any idea on how much the swap runs or how often these are found in the junk yards? Are they pretty rare?

The bumper cover alone is the expensive part. I think a new one is around $300. The grilles are also more expensive. Junk yard might be pretty hard to find without it broken up, you can check car-part.com and search junk yards in your area.
