Cabin Air Filter - Suggestions

I know this topic has been rehashed over and over in the forum. I had the MOPAR CAF installed with the modification. It has restricted the air flown using the OEM filter, looking for a suggestion of possible aftermarket alternatives.

I am normally a K&N guy, but seems a little excessive for a CAF. Looking for maximum airflow.

Go with a plain white one. From what I've read the charcoal impregnated ones will affect air flow. I replaced mine 4 or 5 months ago with one of these https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-CF32...6&ymm=2017:ram:1500&keywords=cabin+air+filter and I didn't notice any change in airflow.

When I tried to do the modification on my 2010 ram, I sliced the opening where the filter was supposed be, there wasn’t one in there! So I put the little door back in there without the filter. Never had a issue

Yeah, my build sheet listed it. Didn’t have one, had dealer install courtesy of MOPAR.

They say it protects the evaporator, and the dust when using the fan was more than I wanted blowing at me. Glad I have it.

I bit the bullet and I installed the K&N cabin filter...it smell's very good at least!! lol!!!

Good to know, because quite frankly the vehicle (as with other FCA models) can be a little musty when they kick over.

It works well too. I don't notice a difference in airflow either. Just cleaned mine last week. A plus side is you can spray it with a scent of your choosing (like febreeze) or use K&N's refresher kit...

I had a wix in mine,amazing how much crud and pollen they stop coming into the cab.

I use Fram with arm and hammer...... had a little fresh scent to it.

STP filter, cheap at Autozone, no restriction of airflow, I just throw it away each year and put in a new one.

I installed the kit from Geno's Garage... Works great for me!
