I never connected the stake pocket straps on mine. If the bolts come out and the wing falls off I didnt want that monster swinging from straps bashing the tailgate and lights! Haha.

A hard cover would look great on your truck. If you can pick one up for $300 painted black than that is a great deal.

Finding one in the right color will save you a lot of time and money in the long run. Black one's rarely come up so if you find it you should jump on it.

Jay how much for your cover? Jusjay maybe 200 lbs, they are just awkward as hell. Chrissy helped me put mine on and take it off a few times and we got pretty quick like a Couple of minutes either way. Just make sure it's square when you put it on

I will definitly take some pics. Since the weather here stinks today I decided to prep the wing for paint instead of pulling off the entire tonneau cover to do a test fit. After looking at it the wing could use fresh paint whether I decide to keep it or not. Luckily, I have some color match left from earlier projects.

If it comes down to it and I really like the wing I might have my cousin paint it for me bc my paint skills are average at best. He painted my hood for me at his shop so I might take this to him too.
