Canadian renewal? 2011 Dodge Ram 2500

Hey guys new to the forum just purchased a 2011 Dodge Ram 2500 and found out the truck came from Alberta and the bank told me it was a Canadian renewal, never heard of it before . Anybody have insight on what it is ?

I really have no idea, but it makes me think it might be a salvage rebuild where the vehicle is totaled then bought and reconstructed.

I'm in Alberta and have never really heard of that either,they didn't happen to mean "rental" did they

Ya it’s weird I live in Michigan and I never heard that term ever and they keep saying when they ran the vin that the truck was a “Canadian renewal” and couldn’t find much online about it

I did a quick Google search. It seems to be nothing more than what would happen in the States when you renew your Registration.

"Canadian Renewal" just means that the registration of the vehicle has either been renewed or the vehicle had been sold and registered.
