I sure do appreciate any input that members can give, I have a bit of a learning curve, not so good at the electronic stuff, being retired and all, not quite as sharp as the young bucks! LOL.

We're a happy community of information addicts and most of us are busy trying to learn as much as possible before we expire.

One of the great aspects of this community is that most people have different strengths and as a collective, we cover a wide field of knowledge.

I would guess that the majority of the major contributors are of a retirement age, close or beyond.

And, most of us are still learning all the crazy nuances of the electronics systems on our trucks.

Thanks guys but I did refer to my 22 as a classic, I was wondering if the SX cable was compatible or not. That was around the 3rd thread. I may have posted in the wrong category though, but I am new to this.
My apologies. I see you indeed id as a classic, further down the thread and my old eyes / brain scanned right past it.

I read that one needs to add the 10th mile in that number. Can't validate though.

Looking at the OBDLink website, that SX dongle has been discontinued, but AlfaOBD only lists MX+ and EX for your truck for compatibility.
Most of us use the MX+, so haven't seen the compatibility issues.

I was going on what Mr. RamDiver had commented on using the SX and it working okay, so I got it, must be working as my mileage got changed, along with my idle and driving hours, but not without some trickery to get it to work. I could always try another connection device but I am happy that I got my cluster to read the numbers that I wanted. Just for information to all out there, the Continental Logo that comes up after prompted to turn key off, wait 30 seconds, then turn back on, is normal according to Alexey. He is also working on the .6 thing when correcting mileage, to see why it didn't work for me, could be a possible update coming soon. The Fuel range of 1999 did start to work its way down after about 1.5 hrs. of driving and will settle to what it needs to be with continued driving, so hoping some of this info will help others along the way.

Thanks for the detailed update.

Some of the AlfaOBD tweaks require a bit of creativity to complete successfully.
Have you accomplished everything to your satisfaction?

Yes, I was able to get my mileage and idle, drive times adjusted and that's probably going to be all for now.
