Can anyone chime in on the pro's or con's of removing the converters on a 5.7 Hemi? Would this throw codes? increase fuel economy?
Thanks

Are they bolted on r need to be cut ?
Modern unleaded gas smells terrible without cats, smells mostly sweet from the nasty ethanol they put in it. If you want a good smell try racing gas and burn't rubber at a drag strip. That smell will take you back in time!Pros: none, really.
Con's: removing a cat, even in your own vehicle, is a violation of federal law. So there's that. I'd say that's a con.![]()
