This is after only 1300 miles. Just think... this could be in your intake manifold, air filter, and gumming up your throttle body! :********:

Maybe think about getting one of these now?

Did this yesterday during my oil change. Bleh!

I'm just gonna do it every oil change : 5000 miles for me.

You have to take off the hemi plastic intake cover, then take the throttle body and intake manifold off, then put it back on, then run around the truck 7 times. Then just bolt the the little arm to the engine mount they show in the instructions. Disconnect and replace the lines with what they provide. Bolt the catch can to the bracket, hook the lines up to the catch can... and done. Basically. It's like a 15-30 minute job depending how mechanically able you are. :005:

Dan: Haha no thanks!

Wendy: It's oil that normally gets blown back into your intake manifold. That's why the throttle plates get gummed up, sticky, and have problems sticking.

Here's the specific idea I stole from another site:

The fact of the matter is that the new age HEMI engines, (5.7 and 6.1L) produce a lot of blow-by. This is essentially oil that would traverse through your factory PCV valve and head back into the maninfold, designed for emission purposes. So what is the problem with that? Simple, the oil will accumulate. That will in turn lead to carbon build-up, which will retard spark detonation and ultimately cause your vehicle's computer to back off timing to compensate...what does that mean in layman's terms? You will build up sludge and loose power.

Why not buy the cheaper oil catch cans?

I mean, I know the BT's come with a vehicle specific bracket. But what makes them better than a $50 billet can?
