How do I determine the in and out for the hoses. The catch can I have is specific

What do you mean it is "specific"?

The hose that plugs in under the throttle body is hooked up to the out and the one from your pcv valve hooks up to the in.

Figured that portion was pretty self explanatory given the catch can prevents the crud from getting to the throttle body...

If you mistakenly connect the hoses wrong it will actually reduce horsepower by 25 instead of increasing it.
