Hey Folks,
I finally got around to cutting the hole out of my 2014 evaporator housing and adding a cabin air filter & door.
Because I’m a bit nutty about things being clean I’m now wondering if I shouldn’t try to clean the inside of that housing & evaporator itself. After all, it ran open to the atmosphere for almost 8 years so there’s got to be quite a bit of dirt in there. Every other car I own has the cabin air filter and they are just nasty whenever I change them. I imagine the inside of my housing looks the same as all of those filters I have changed.
I’m assuming that whatever cleaning solvent I can spray in there can be rinsed right off and will run out the system drain down onto the driveway. Someone will certainly correct me if I’m wrong.
The question is, what would be the best thing to spray in there that will clean things without any scrubbing?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
