So, Starting to get a bit annoyed with this new truck. With all the problems I have had, yet another one raises it's ugly head.

I used the heaters this week for the first time since I got the truck last summer. I noticed that the window was not demisting like it should, and realised that the button for the front demister did not actually put the air on the screen. It pushed it out of the face vents. Both the physical button and the screen do the same thing!

When set to the face vents, it pushes air to the front screen. When put on the floor setting, it goes to both face and screen. So it's all arsed up!

Anyone else have this issue?

Mine are working fine. That being said, I really want to make a joke about Australia being on the opposite hemisphere and toilets spinning opposite so maybe that is affecting the louvers, but my mind just can't seem to spin something up right now.... Good luck with it. Nobody likes to pay out that kind of $$ and not have a perfectly operating rig. Please let us know if you find something so if it happens to one of us, we know where to start.

Sounds like a blend door issue.

Is your truck left hand drive or right hand drive? If RHD was it converted? If so maybe the problems are related.

Yes it’s RHD so it’s been converted. They have obviously clocked it up when they did the conversion.

It’s going in shortly and I want it all fixed.

How do they connect the steering wheel? Is there a new steering box or some kind of chain drive?

Hi Jasmine,

Thanks. It's been very frustrating. The dealer had the truck for more than a week and could not fix the the loose noises in the front end. They still do not know what the problem is, so this time they want it back for more than a week. Paying over $100,000 for this truck, I am far from happy - I must say. I understand sometimes things have problems, but I am at the point where I am very frustrated.

I would love to talk to you directly, and keep you informed of the situation, because in my opinion, for a truck of this price tag, it's not good enough.

I understand where you're coming from Aussie-John. I work primarily on the social channels we monitor and would be happy to escalate your inquiry to a case specialist. Send me your VIN, mileage, contact information, and dealer name within a direct message to get started.

Hi Jasmine

I will be in touch shortly as my RAM leaks water into the drivers side (from under the steering wheel) when it rains.

This is simply not good enough for a $100,000 vehicle.

I’m calling the dealer today.

Thanks
John

Well... Another trip to the dealer and STILL no fix!! :(

They apparently don't know how to fix the loose feel in the front end, and they don't know how to fix the climate controls. So my Demister button still punches air in your face instead of the windscreen.

$100,000 worth of vehicle, and I can't even easily demist my windscreen! This is now become an absolute joke!

My love for RAM and owning my dream truck is now being shattered.

Not that it's any consolation but I read about situations like this more often than not, FCA needs to take note.
Sounds like your issues are the lack of a decent dealer tech to troubleshoot and fix your issues. With as computer controlled as these vehicles are these days and given the troubleshooting tools the techs have at their disposal your HVAC damper problems should be an easy fix.
