Mostly slower left turns on pavement (in 2x4) just shy of full lock i am getting a very constant clunk clunk clunk clunk clunk as i continue to drive in a circle. Almost seems like it is about at every half turn or so of the whee. Im assuming this is my “axle joint” or “u-joint”.

Any input or opinions of what it may be?

Thank you guys for the help. My

I would guess it's a front wheel bearing. U-joints usually clunk going from forward to reverse. Wheel bearings make the cv shafts clunk around when they're cooked.

Did your truck come with an LSD. The gear style LSD on these trucks may also do that. If not, then probably the u-joint.

It did but it is an equivalent to a Detroit true track which does not use clutches. It is a helical type of limited slip with worm gears. There’s nothing to bind and less something is completely destroyed. And my noises coming from the front which has an open carrier.

Oh, it is coming from the front. Then then that might be another issue.

I have the Torsen style "anti-slip" factory LSD. If I make a hard turn from a dead stop, it will engage with a slight clunk followed by a tire chirp sometimes.
