so i just got a 2017 ram 1500 in beginning of the year. few weeks after i started having overheating issues. long story short, ive replaced the radiator, water pump, temp sensor, 3way valve and some hoses. and it still over heats and is loosing coolant somewhere but it holds the pressure test. ive tested the gaskets and they are fine and theres no smoke coming out of the exhaust. so i literally have no idea what else to do or can think of. if anyone has ANY idea to whats going on.

Dipstick check might not show coolant in the oil because of the whole oil/water not mixing. I would just do an oil change again for a sanity check.

That coolant is going somewhere.

How's the overflow/expansion tank look? Any milky looking stuff in there?

Haven't heard here that you did an exhaust gas test on your coolant. Simple test for the head gasket leak to the water jacket. Pressure test doesn't always succeed here.

I was getting ready todo the exhaust gas test and simply fired up with the cap off from cold and gave it some gas and blew antifreeze all over te driveway.

My truck had similar symptoms after I overheated it when I lost the water pump. Ended up being the head gasket.

Previous owner had cheeped out and put a head gasket sealant through the radiator. Overheating it undid that halfassed solution. Quite apparent when I pulled the heads.

If it is the cooler,i'd delete it,as they do have a rep of leaking coolant into the oil. Get the older thermostat housing and then cap off or remove the other lines feeding coolant to the cooler, then pick up the earlier filter nipple and swap the nipple in.It uses an internal hex/allen ,to R&R the nipple. It doesn't really pull any heat out of the oil anyways, the oil pump moves 7+ gpm and it's to small to remove much heat

Edit: just noticed you have a 3.6 disregard this post then.

After your truck has sat overnight, loosen the oil drain plug, but DO NOT remove it. Loosen it just enough that oil starts to drip. Put something under to catch the drip and watch the drops.

If coolant is mixing with the oil, you wil see it in the drops very quickly.

I was gonna suggest that test also...it has to be going somewhere.
