Lately my coolant temperature has gotten up to 219* in city/short highway driving. It usually fluctuates between 204-219*, but 219* seems high. If it makes a difference, my truck is stock. Are these temps normal?

Yeah, way under what coolant boils at. You have the 8 speed? 2015?
Mine after 1.5hrs of pulling my 28ft camper.
Nothing wrong with 219 really imo.

What is your transmission temp when your coolant temp is 219? You guys with the 8 speed have a cluster **** known as the thermal bypass valve that is mated with your tranny. It is supposed to shut off and turn on yada yada to get the transmission at a perfect temp, but as we have seen on this forum it is horse ****. Some guys run religiously at 180f, and some others run religiously at 225f. I know the coolant heats the transmission oil in the name of fuel efficiency by heating the oil it makes it move faster and the epa says that is a good feature to have in a truck and FCA agreed, but I don't know if it can cool the transmission that would by default heat the coolant.
