Yeah, when you go wayyyyyy that damn far back. Lol. The ole 08 Ram I had, had an electric shift-on-the-fly dial knob on the dash, pretty much in the same damn spot as the dial shifter for the trans in my new 18.
Guess you don’t approve of the new push-button transfer case gear selector either now, do ya?
Bottom line, console shifters belong in cars.... not trucks.

Figured I’d also mention that the 04 Dakota that the ex wife and I had long ago, also had a dial knob shifter for the transfer case on the dash for it as well.
So see, they been using a dial knob for a gearbox shifter in a truck for as far back at least as 15 years ago.
But what’s next, hate for the dimmer switch now since it’s on the column and hasn’t been on the floor for what, 25-30 years?....lol.
