I can't remember what years had it but 1 or 2 years had two temperature sensors in the intake.

98+ uses one temp sensor whereas the other older years have two temp sensors. You can use the 96 intake just plug the one hole off.

Are those numbers dry? wet? was it set at WOT for the comp test?

not trying to hijack your thread, but i have the 5.9L v8 and i also have the same code. i had a cylinder 6 misfire and a random misfire code as well but it turns out that was a loose spark wire.. now i just have the p0302 code. Thinking it may be an injector, but i have the cap and rotor ready to go just in case.

I've done everything to solve my prob. And every day the motor shakes more and misses more and more. The ignition system is all brand new twice. Injector as well. IMA just cut my losses. Today I bought a 5.9 360 with an ecu and 108k mi on it.

97 PCM should work with your truck, the engine being a 2000 though I believe you'll need the intake swap. Or, since you'd have 2 intakes anyway.....KEGGER MOD! and plenum plate o'course.

What intake mod did someone on here do. They cut something inside it out. What did it help?

If you don't cut the runners down too far it helps mid range and top end power hugely especially when coupled with a 50/52mm throttle body.

They wanted $100 for the intake? ********. lol Oh well, you don't have to worry about the wrong intake then. Kegger mod your 96 intake since you'll have the divider.
