Aftenoon all, first time posting to this forum, wanted toknowif anyone else has had this problem or have a fix? About a month ago the battery in my truck would be dead randomly, come to find out after truck is turned off the dash lights woukd remain on until it killed the battery. Ive used the temp fix (disconnect battery wait a few minutes then reconnect) and its worked fine. Again today its started it all.over again, going in for a recall on Thursday and I asked them to take a look but would really like to see if anyone else has had this happen and what the fix was. Or even info I can use because theyve been knowm to just throw parts at vehicles around here.Last posts I had seen was a few years ago. 2013 Dodge Ram Laramie

Hi Engine38FD,
We apologize for the trouble you've been having with your truck. I am unable to provide any technical advice since I am not a trained technician, but I would be happy to provide you with an additional layer of assistance if you decide to have your dealers address this. Just send us a private message!

Some people have reported that good dealer techs have found a bad module that wasn't letting the communication bus go to sleep (ie HVAC module) or sometimes a connector under the hood that got corrosion/condensation in it (ie pass. side near firewall). Could be anything though.

M² Mods.

Well Dodge looked at it and said their was nothing wrong, then tried to repeat what i experienced and it never happened. I did get in contact with a dealer near me, said their was a TSB 08-044-16 on 14-17 Rams that had to do with bad radio frequency hub, customers may experience cluster lighting by itself after truck has been turned off for 10 or more minutes. Thats exactly what im experiencing. Dealer said the problem was a connector that had become corroded. Think all would be great right? Well the Tech wanted to charge 140$ just to look at the truck and make sure that was the problem after i explictly told him that no issues had been found before. Anyway Im rambling but does anyone know where the connector that could cause rhis issue would be located? I started unplugging the ones i could see the other day and couldnt find one that would cause the cluster to shut off. I figure as soon as i find that I'll know where the problem connector is. Has anyone else had this issue ajd found a fix?

Well problem stopped after the post for about a week, it came back so i went through and checked as many connections i cpuld get to under the truck and found no Corroded connections. After that though it went maybe a month without issue, all be it to rear its ugly head again today and drain the battery like it normally does....Dodge still says that their is mo issue so really starting to get irritated. Any updates on what could be an issue?

What finally happened here? I'm experiencing the same issue. Dealer has had my truck for 2 months and has basically pushed it off to the side explaining that it has to be the alarm or radar that is tapped into the mirror harness. I told them neither caused an issue for the last 3 years that I've had it so it would be a waste of time exploring those 2 things. They did some updates, no luck. I picked one of the crappy dealer service centers it appears. Mopar is supposed to be assisting but I haven't heard anything back from them since they agreed to appoint a case manager to go between myself and the dealership.
