Had some bigger tires and will have a 4"/6" lift installed hopefully soon, called the dealership and they said they can't reprogram my system for the upgrades I will and have made. He said there are companies that makes programmers and you can also do it yourself but that outside of my knowledge.

So for you who know this help me out if you can. Also how much would it be and what are the benefits. Thanks!

What are you looking to have flashed or re-programmed?

The tire size and lift. I was told it should be reprogrammed after putting bigger tires and a lift on to get better power and mpg.

Only the tire size needs to be changed and yes, they can do it but a lot of dealerships don't want to do it. Most shops will be able to change tire size but you don't need a programmer just to do it especially since it'll cost you ~$1000 with the required PCM swap.

Thanks. So the dealership will be able to do it even though they say they can only reprogram tire sizes and wheel sizes from Ram?

They can do it. Quick $100.00 bucks for them. Not sure why they're giving you the run around.

Thanks for the info. Would that be similar to getting a tuner? What the dealership would do!

That's wrong. Only factory sizes can be programmed now. Older ones, you can easily input the tire revs per mile and program any size you want. That is not true anymore.

That's a bummer. So what are my options? Should I just leave it be? Or what can I get
