So i took the "RAM 1500" off my truck and i did it myself. It was my first time doing it so i didn't really know what i was doing. Its all off and all the adhesive is gone however like an idiot i used my finger nail to remove some of the additional adhesive that was a pain in the rear to get off. Now i have small little scratches and i can kind of see a shadow of the removed emblems. Any advice on what i should do, Not sure if the scratches are under the clear coat or not.

Some scratch x and then wax..may not make it 100% but it'll make it less noticeable..I just waxed after I did mine to get rid of the "ghost letters"

Polish with a buffer and then re-seal/wax. I doubt that you scratched hard enough with your fingernail to go through the clear coat. Check for sure by running your fingernail across the scratch---if it catches on the scratch then you have gone through the clear coat, if not the scratch should polish out.

If you do any others, get an eraser wheel. So much easier than trying to scratch it off with your finder nail.

Start of with some polishing compound (clear coat safe) meguires makes a good product. If that isn't strong enough try some rubbing compound then polish compound on a random orbit buffer or a hand micro fiber pad should fix you right up. Regardless what you use make sure it's clear coat safe.

And next time take the badges off with fishing string or dental floss. After you have the badges off pull the tape at a 5-10 degree angle and it should peel off in one peice and leave almost 0 residue. Don't feel bad I didn't the same thing with my front driver side until I got the hang of it.

Post some pics of the scratches when you can so others can give better advice. For small scratches, I would polishing compound.

There is a video on here on how to debadge, just lift the tape up enough to get your fingers under it and pull back and up at a 45 degree slowly and it will come off WITH the glue and in one piece. I now do this trick for every sticker I remove. It works great.

Always remember-use the LEAST abrasive solution first. You can always go to a compound or sand paper but if a polish will do the job---problem solved.
