Thanks for the reply Marcus. I had the truck in the shop earlier this week for a radio replacement issue and asked them to check out the rear end/new vibration noise. They did a full inspection and found everything to be okay. I have also noticed the vibration has gotten better. Where I once felt it on flat ground I only experience it when backing up my driveway now.

So yea, kind of what I thought all the anti-vibratin stuff on these trucks with the motor mounts are just giving it a weird load/vibration? The dealer said it would not effect anything on the truck and as long as it doesn't actually bind its not going to effect anything.

Love the skid BTW, excellent fab work!

Cool! Still may have been the nut plate vibrating against the motor mount, it's harmless if that is the case. Let me know if the nuisance noise sticks around.

seems like mine rests on the plate all the time. Is this your latest nut plate? View attachment 245490

Correct that is the current machined nut plate. Looks like yours has a tiny bit of contact. That looks normal (hitting bumps will move the drivetrain on its bushings), and is a very minimal contact patch.

I’m a big fan fan of these myself. Went up an obstacle in Uwharrie NC last weekend and noticed a nice fresh dent in my plate. Thanks Marcus! Lol

I’m sure the people that have been waiting 5 months for parts they have paid for take comfort in the fact that you’ve been a little busy out buying Power Wagons, doing 3D scans of your shop diesel and and doing R&D on new products.

He takes all comers. Big or small. Human or animal.

I guess some people think it’s ok to take peoples money and not deliver the goods in an acceptable amount of time. And then go on the internet and be like “I know some of you have been waiting forever for the **** you paid for but hey look at all the cool stuff I’ve been spending your money on”

I ordered mine right when the pandemic kicked off and took close to 4 months. It is what it is, the dude is pretty much a one man show making a product that noone else in the industry is making for these trucks. On top of the manpower issue the popularity of these trucks has significantly increased since the 2019+ models were introduced. Word passes quick in this community and hence the demand for his skid plates has increased. Materials, parts, and machine tooling availability has drastically decreased as well. Although everyone in America is over covid, businesses are still playing catch up getting out raw materials, parts etc. I work for one of the largest Electrical Generation companies in the U.S. and even we've had to wait for parts, over a month for cutlass bearings for multistage pumps which normally we'd have within a few days. This is a multi billion dollar corporation and even we're waiting. I feel like as a society we've been spoiled with the " I want it now, i get it now" amazon speed. **** just doesnt work like that with custom manufactured parts from a small business. Either suck it up and wait for the man to catch up or request your money back simple as that. And as someone who works...a **** ton mind you I know full well that he needs time to himself as well as family. Marcus has done alot for the power wagon community and has always been a huge help to me whenever Ive had questions on anything wagon related. So maybe cut the dude some slack or go fab the damn thing up yourself

Lol. The dude doesn’t have any of my money. But keep defending ****** business practices. Didn’t someone here say the dude straight up gave them a fake tracking number? That’s downright shady.
I guess I was raised different. If I had people waiting on parts that I said I could produce I would out in the shop at the tube bender and welding machine making ******* parts. Definitely not doing 3D scans of the shop truck. Keep brown nosing the dude though “since he’s done a lot for the industry” Maybe he’ll send you a trans skid in a couple years.

Did this guy **** in your cheerios?

Did he take your money, and not deliver your product?

if the answer is no. Why you so mad? if people want to defend someone they have done business with, they can. im guessing you havent dealt with said company, so why do you even have an opinion on this subject. i would never say your opinion doesnt matter... but in this instance, your opinion isn't really needed. Especially in the way you have portrayed it so far.

We get it. you dont like their business practice, and probably wont be doing any business with them. but all this hostility to forum members is just uncalled for.

Hostility? Bud you must be really sensitive if you think this is hostility. If someone doesn’t want feedback or criticism then they probably shouldn’t be on the internet.

How long have you been in the power wagon community?

Other than this thread where else have you heard of bad business practices from Dethloff Mfg?

Im sure the tracking number thing was a fluke, you hear one anamoly and few people ******** their skid plates took to long. Grow up man! Marcus is straight up, and has been in the PW community long enough to have a good reputation. There are more than enough of us that will continue to support Dethloff Mfg and understand how overwhelming this time has been for not only him but countless others. Ive had more than enough communication with him and seen his interaction on the facebook pages and other forums to know Marcus is good to go. Go spew your **** elsewhere homie

I don't believe it is right to have such a long wait for parts as I've asked my customers to sit through. This is exactly why I stopped taking backorders. I am currently working on the existing orders. I also have a very long list of guys that have reached out wanting to order a skid plate, which is why I have put some time into the new generation of them - there are a lot of moving pieces and these days everything has a long lead time and things need to get started early.

When the last major production of skid plates was finishing up I sent tracking info to everyone and assembled the hardware/instruction kits prior to the skids coming back from coating. From memory I got a portion but not all of them back the start of that week and I didn't get the remainder of them in/packaged/shipped until a week later. There was a delay between a lot of guys getting tracking info, and their skid plates actually shipping out.

So you dont think telling someone to "suck it", or "tickle his balls" is hostile?

Thats what im getting at, why the derogatory remarks to forum members?

you say im sensitive.... but i only see one person here getting butt hurt by the fact someone completely unrelated to you has waited 5 months for a part.

This right here. Much more encouraging for customers and potential customers to hear.

What are you the forum police? I didn’t say suck it until homeboy insulted me. After that all bets are off. Before it was just my sarcastic opinions and ******* demeanor that some the fanboys around here are to sensitive to handle.

I will tell you that as somebody that has just recently jumped into the Power Wagon pool, one of the first things I did after ordering the truck was to order a trans skid plate from Marcus KNOWING that the wait time was 4-5 months. I don't have a problem with it. Also, I am very happy that he bought a new truck to model on and test fit items since mine is the same truck and I want it to be right. I can also tell you that I, as a customer, have had at least three emails from Marcus explaining what was going on with the delays. I don't feel like I have been taken advantage of nor am I bitter about it.
