To start off I have a 2010 Dodge Ram 5.7 Laramie 4x4 (Mexico truck). The truck is stock other than the AMS mds delete kit I installed after it got hungry and no 5 lifter ate the cam.. They provided me a Predator 2 Tuner to disable the mds. But it says no applications available for your vehicle. Im assuming because its a Mexico Truck. Does anyone on these forums offer custom tunes compatible? I run 87 octane, need mds shut off, and the basic transmission torque management disable. Thank you all for your time.

Mexico has nothing to do with tuning it,it still uses the same pcm as the US built trucks use.Truck might be to old to utilize the tuner supplied. I'm not up on the Predator 2,but it might be the one that doesn't allow for custom tuning.You don't want to disable any torque management if there's any applicable to your early 5 speed.

The advice is noted. I guess I don't unserstand why it isn't allowing me to even see the preloaded tunes on the predator 2.

Op, I would suggest you got what you paid for.

You purchased an AMS MDS delete kit. They (AMS) provided (your words) a Predator 2 tuner to disable MDS, probably to cut off check engine light and had some sort of single canned tune to go with their cam.

I would suggest to you that's all the predator 2 was designed to do, has no other features loaded and probably did not come with any preloaded tunes. AMS probably purchased a limited license from Diablo to perform that function with their kit and that's it. Anything else you will need to pay extra.

Not saying I'm right but looking at their kit, it mentions they have an MDS delete not they are tuning your truck. Big difference, HUGE difference.

I'd call AMS to confirm, if the predator came with preloaded canned tunes. It's my belief they don't based on a limited review of their website

I guess I am a little confused why you're trying to make something out of something that isn't an issue. I never said AMS didn't fulfill their promise of product. Everything works great in the kit. I was merely wanting to see if anyone else had a similar issue with the predator 2 or if anyone would have any insight on why the communication is different between the mexico sold truck and the US sold truck.
