A quick google search says 8321 is tuner and pcm swap, canned tunes and 8321-r is tuner pcm swap but with custom tune capabilities

The 8321-r is a Platinum model which means it will download CMR (custom) tunes and load them to your truck's computer.

The 8321 does not include CMR custom tuning capabilities. All you can use with this model is the canned tunes that come with the programmer.

Getting a custom tune is a LOT better than just using the canned tunes, IMHO.
