Ok, so maybe I'm showing off a bit, but after spending $560 on a torque wrench, I feel entitled! It ranges from 12.5 - 250 ft. lbs. and also reads in Nm as well as inch pounds. The main reason I got it (other than the cool factor) is that it reads angle as well which means no more screwing with torque angle meters.

My bro in law has that one and is awesome. It reads back the actual pounds and also vibs along with a beep when you hit your mark. Loved it the best when you go to stretch the head bolts on it hits to make sure you dont over due them.

It should, don't you think? It's several torque wrenches rolled into one plus the built in angle meter and you really have to have something like that now that torque to yield bolts are in damn near every engine.

So, Friday after I bought this super-duper deluxe, do-it-all torque wrench I stayed after work about 30 minutes running around the shop looking for things to torque. Kinda sad, isn't it?

I can't say anything. I dropped about $350 for the snap-on I've got now and went as far as putting our bed and a couple of tables together with it lol

Snap on? I have the same one, in both 3/8 and the 1/2" drive version. Yeah not cheap.
The 1/2" one was on a.pretty good sale (for snap on anyway) and a few months later I traded in my 12-15 year old snap on 3/8" digital one on a new version because of the angle/torque to yield feature they added.
I have several torque wrenches. A couple of 1/2" clickers, a 1/2" with a dial on the center of the handle, a 3/8 version of that one (3/8 one is inch lb) a 3/4" drive 600 ft lb dial type, and a couple of OLD beam type craftsman ones with the pointer and fixed scale. I use em all at one point or another.

Sounds normal to me.

Bought a CDI a couple years back, which is part Snap-On, made in Taiwan for app. half price of Snap-On. Accurate enough for me, since I only use personally. Surprising all the stuff I've got now that needs torquing! This one does 20-150 ft-lbs.

My 3/4 drive 600 ft lb one is a cdi brand.
The other company snap on uses for torque wrenches is "precision instrument" or something like that. It's "precision ....." something

Presumably she has some matching baubles. In price - not size.

Got one of these along with a 3/4" air impact for tractor work. I fancy myself as relatively strong but anything over 450 ft lb HAS to be a 2 man job.. right?
