Anything threaded needs to be steel or have a steel bushing with threads if you want to start doing things like that. AL is barely 1/3 of the weight of steel but typically you have to make things twice as thick so it's not as big of a savings as you think. It's different for big chunky things like heads and blocks though. That saves a lot of weight but not really Diesel compression ratio friendly.
