Couldn't take the faded plastic anymore and didn't want to use anything that would run when it rained. Does anyone know how long this should last?
Looks like new for the time being

It should last you for a good while
Also mAke sure you use several coats so it holds better and for whenever you want to remove it, it comes off easily

had some on the chrome front bumper strip and chrome side trim on my dad's 06 ram since 08/09 and holding up well. And tire shine, rubber coating makes it look brand new.

Looks good. Im a month in with my truck. I have wondered how long it would take till they start fading away. I figured i would put bed liner on it when it did.

Wonder if this will hold up better or worse with the porous more rough texture of the plastic then on the slick badges and chrome it usually is applied to.

There's a lot of products that would prevent and or un-fade it... If I was going to go through the trouble of plastidipping it I would just take them and get them sprayed with bedliner.

most of the products that i've seen people use run like heck when it rains though and leave a nasty film on the side of the truck. This cost me 10 bucks and 30 minutes. good enough for now

Go buy turtle wax ice and it will help with fade, scratches and prolong the life of your dip job

I asked my local Line-X installer and they absolutely will not line plastic. They said it has to be metal, primed, or a painted surface. Something about the oils in plastic causing the liner not to adhere.
