is this for a 18 Ram?? U going to need a bypass cable. Dont get the hptuners it requires you to remove the whole center consol to install there bypass behind the radio .. get the unlocked pcm and bypass cable from diablo there cable has a connector hooks up to an empty slot under the steering wheel took me 2 seconds to hook it up lol..i already had the old mpvi1 all i needed was to purchase credits for my ram.. also no need to buy new hpt hardware just get a used one from ebay same thing waaaay cheaper..

Yes supposed to be for all (mine is a 2018), even the new gen. Just replacing the abs/esc fuse and replacing with harness (just have to supply own switch and whatever length of wire needed for where you mount), for $35 it was worth the gamble. He has videos on youtube about it and the install.

Good to know about HP Tuners, I was looking at their bypass cable and was wondering where it went. I ended up getting the bypass from Kaodtech. Much easier and less expensive!

You don't need a bypass cable to install the TC/ESC delete harness. It's merely modifying a fuse function, nothing to do with the ECU

my bad thought you were talking about the hpt harness ..hmmm fuse box harness looks good dose the same thing try it . But truck might see it as esp error you might get a code or reduced power mode not sure what the computer dose as a safety measure never seen this mod before.. with hpt its programmed into the trucks brain so no error codes..

Yeah I know, I was just responding to the comment about the bypass that Gone had mentioned and that was needed for HP Tuners to do disable the ESC... however I just plugged my OBD reader into my OEM port for ***** and grins and it was able to read the system... weird thought 2018's were locked down? I know mine was built sometime in 2017..... maybe I dont need a bypass as mine made it out of the factory before they made this change? any other way to confirm this?

Your reader was doing just that, reading the ECU. No need for the bypass when looking or reading. You only need the bypass if you are writing to or changing parameters.

Ah I see, so if I needed/wanted to clear codes as well, then the bypass is needed? I assumed (and we know what that does) that I wouldnt even be able to see codes or read.

No, no need for the bypass to read or clear codes. Codes don't reside in the ECU.

Gotcha, just to make changes to parameters, I'm on the same page now. Takes me a little while to understand the electrical/software stuff, not my strong point:33:

It does what it's supposed to do but a few things I changed up more to my liking. It's nice being able to turn it off with just a flick of a switch.

All you get is warning lamps on the dash, no CEL and I didn't see any codes when I scanned
