This is probably a stupid question but I've never lifted a truck before and was thinking about getting a 3" body lift on my 2014 Ram 1500. But its not leveled at the moment. Will the body lift level it out or will I need to level it and then get the lift installed? How do they work? Any advice would help. Thanks guys.

They do not, you'll have to choose a level method (spacer/shocks) if that's what you want.

If you only put them on one side, lol. Yeah, you want a leveling kit, and I would go with shocks over spacers.

No stupid questions, we all had a first truck at some point. Check the bilstein thread in my signature for the difference between spacers and shock lift, and the other option is the pre load.

Since you have a 2wd, you can't use adjustable height shocks. You have to either go with a coil spacer or lift spindles. CST, Maxtrac, Daystar. There are several other companies as well, but those are the most common.
