Dome Light Question??

I have only ONE dome light in my 2017 Tradesman and it IS NOT a "push/turn on"... it is fixed...

I don't know the correct way to remove the cover to put in a hyper-spiritual LED

Anyone else have one of these FIXED dome lights?







Does it just "hinge" down like the push-button ones do??? cuz I tried that and it seems to be locked in on the sides too...

(anyone know of the mack-daddy LED to install there since it's my only light)

Take a small screwdriver and pry where that slot is.. it hinges down

OKAY, i used some plastic trim tools but YES gypsy is right, it does still hinge down from the 'slot' side... BUT, I had to start my tool on the side of the lens... work my way to the 'slot' area. Notice the 'slot' is NOT the only locking point... it has 3 in that area!!!




So once opened, I used a spare LED I had from my 2007 and it worked fine...



It was harder getting it to snap back in than it was to take out!!!

What size bulb is that? I'm having a hard time figuring out what size my 2013 Tradesman takes.

It's a 41mm HP6 LED bulb, that's what I installed in my truck this summer. I got mine from Diode Dynamics.
