DRL question

Canadian with a Canadian truck.
Long story short I need my drls disabled as I went from a quad headlight to a single projector with and hid kit. However the drls cause my cutoff to flicker as well as the hids.
With the lights on they work great.
I’ve called the local dealerships and they won’t disable them as it’s illegal here in Canada.

What’s my options? Drive across the border and try there haha?
Ideally I want to switch to my amber corners/turn signals as my drls.

While I’ve got you all. I want to run a yellow led foglight, do I need a canbus harness or can I just run s regular 6ohm load resister?

Or just read the thread. All the 411 is in there. You can use AlfaOBD to properly disable or enable DRL's as well as changing where the output goes -- Low Beams, Fogs or Turn Signals.

What year truck? As I recall this won’t work on 2009-2012 correct, only 2013+

It’s a 2018 big horn. I’m currently reading through the alpha thread. I’m on post 100- long way to go lol.
Does it affect warranty at all? Like is the dealership able to see that I have been into the bcm

Weird, I thought the ambers were supposed to be the DRL’s. I’m in Ontario and just picked up my 2017 Rebel from a dealer a month ago and that’s how mine came. Could have swore the other ones I looked at were the same.

My truck came with quad reflectors. I swapped in a set of housings and projectors.

Ambers are used as DRLs on the projector headlights, quads use the high beams on half power, hence the OP's issue. AlphaOBD is indeed the solution!

FACTORY setting is hi beams dimmed
I used AlphaOBD and switched to front turn for DRL and it works as expected
also has the OPTION for FOG lights

DRL Dropout is if the lDRL turns off during turn signal on that side if you use FOG I would turn that off
