DRL Toggle 15+ Rams

I've been looking at getting daytime running lights activated in my '16 Ram. I noticed on OBDGenie's site that 2015+ vehicles don't have an on screen toggle to turn DRLs on and off.

I'm just curious is that a limitation of OBDGenie's programmer? Or is that simply not an option on a 15+ ram because of a built in limitation?

I assumed AlfaOBD would be able to do it. However I watched this youtube video: on how to activate DRLs with AlfaOBD and he mentions that the on screen toggle for DRLs didn't work for him in his 2015 Ram.

I guess I'm just curious if it's even possible to do or if something changed in 15+ rams that no longer made the on screen toggle an option.

i did it via alfa obd on a 17, he most likely selected the wrong set of lights,

read the instructions carefully, you can turn on basically any light on the headlights and make them as drl

All depends on what radio you have in your truck.

You can activate the DRLs on a 15 with AlfaOBD and have it selectable via the 8.4 radio.
I added the dedicated DRL circuits to a truck that originally had quads. The DRLs turn on when you remote start, headlights on or when the truck is in gear. I have them set to drop out when the turn signal is on.

The CSM option(last option) is the option to enable the toggle of your radio.

OBDgenie can’t do it, your dealership can’t do it, but you can do it in your driveway in about 5 min....AlfaOBD is a game changer

Thanks for everyone who pointed out alfaobd to me and that DRLs can be toggled on 15+ rams. Finally got my feet wet with alfaobd with all the help this forum provides. You guys rock!

Just got my OBD MX+ and getting the Alfa program soon. Is there a thread that explains turning on the DRL for use of the Turn Signal lights on my stock projectors? Saw a lot of info around for the quad guys. I want to use the turn signals on my sport headlights though. Thanks
