looking into newer truck, had to look up what e-torque is. Should I avoid this or embrace it? Any input would be appreciated.

Lots of information here already in several threads. I would suggest spending some time searching the forum for threads on the subject. There also appears to be quite a few more etorque related issues recently. Honestly, some guys like it and some guys don't want anything to do with it. Having owned 5th gens with and without I'd recommend looking for a truck without it, especially since you're buying used and will likely keep it for a while. I never really saw any advantage with it and it's just one more complicated system that will leave you stranded if it fails. There are people here who have put lots of miles on their trucks and have seen no issue with it. So it's something you'll need to decide for yourself (obviously).
