Is it the same process to remove as the badges?

Nope. It's just tape. Pick the edge and peel. Easier if it's warm out or has been in the sun. There's a little screw at the bottom of the window on the inside of the door that will make it easier to work around the weather stripping.

Got a late start and took a dinner break so I only finished one side today, I'll do the driver side tomorrow. Also debadged yesterday using fishing line, a 3M eraser wheel, and a 18v drill.

I've used dental floss and fishing wire both with great suceess. Getting the badges off is the easy part, getting all that gunk off is the real job!

Fishing line is the easiest way to remove the badges but the adhesive is a ***** to remove.

I used Goo gone and a heat gun but kinda messed up the clearcoat a little.

Goo Gone won't hurt the clear coat but that heat gun sure can.

I have used Goo Gone to strip the adhesive left from decade old Velcro in the AZ desert heat by soaking small double over pieces of paper towel in Goo Gone and letting it sit, duct tape it to the offending area if you must but by itself it well dissolved adhesive that is almost 'glass' hard if you wait. Leave the heat gun for other applications

Goo gone works great and it has never caused me a problem, however the paper towels left a bunch of small scratches so now I use a micro fiber but then again its all how you apply it. Best of luck
