Anyone have photos of the inside of their Billet Tech or more expensive catch can? I’m trying to figure out the difference between the $40 I got off eBay and the more expensive ones like Billet Tech. I used to run a BT on my 07 Hemi Charger but ordered one off eBay for the hell of it to see what it was like.

A lot of pple have good luck with cheap ones from ebay. Some don't. I guess it depends on how well they are made. If you find you get the oily water by product you want in it, great! That steel woolish medium thats in the filter to catch the vapor. Was it in the can or did you put it in? I ask cause some of the cheap cans don't come with any..and its not as simple as just putting a chunk of steel wool in there. Some steel wool pple add themselves can break up and get sucked into the intake!

Quality of the fittings, hoses and the can itself are factors in cost difference as well i'm sure.

Fittings are fine on the 30$ ebay one, they are aluminium as well. cost me 10$ at the parts store for better hose and SS clamps. It catches the same amount of oily garbage that the expensive ones do from the pictures I looked at on here.

The filter came in it. I was surprised by the quality. Even has a drain valve on the bottom so I don’t have to unscrew it to drain it.

I've got the same one. Don't fall in love with the valve. It's got a pretty small opening, and the goop will clog it up. I don't even bother trying to use it anymore.

Good to know. Work fine other than that?

Do you drain it hot or cold? I'm guessing cold,i drain my Moroso cans when they're hot (after a drive) as the can drains better and the goop is thinner

2nd Ram, 2nd 55 dollar catch can. Bought 2nd truck Dec 28th and immediately ordered one!
Works great, drain valve, good hoses, absolutely NO issues

So if a goop catcher is so good, why aren’t they OEM installed?
