Dumb question. The link you gave says it is for 2009 to 2016 5.7 1500's but when I put in my 2014 R/T (sport) it says it will not fit.

so will it or won't it fit?

I also have the ebay can. They will fit any 4th gen 5.7 hemi, although my listing said otherwise. As far as quality, the differences are hoses, fittings, clamps, and internal filter. The mishi and bt have brass filters whereas the cheap ones have steel wool

So if a goop catcher is so good, why aren’t they OEM installed?

The Hellcat/TrackHawk/Demon have a factory installed Air/Oil seperator. Cost and as stated above the vechicles now a days are built to last just long enough to make it past the warrenty period, where they want to sell you a new vehicle.Plus the added cost to put one on a vehicle also increases it's cost to manufacture, which increases it's cost at the consumer level, and the whole idea these days is build them as cheap as possible,to reduce showroom sticker shock.

Hemi engine has direct fuel injected into the lifter as well. So most of the oil being injected back on top are burn. Engines that doesn't have the direct fuel inject on the top, the catch can would be ideal. I'm not saying Hemi engine shouldn't have one. For 40 or 60 bucks; it's not a bad idea for peace of mind. That is way cheaper then having the dealer clean your intake and injectors.

Guys what side of the catch can does the filter with the steel wool go on? I took mine apart and now question what side to put it on? ugh! Sorry I'm a newbie ok. The side with the shorter hose or longer hose? I assume there is a flow direction here.

The side with the longer hose. Its suppose to catch the crap before the vapor get pushed back into the engine block. If you reverse it like most people I see on videos, the steel wool can be sucked into the engine block when the vapor is pulled. So basically steel wool in the IN and the non steel wool is the OUT.

If you asking how it fits the can, the steel wool goes in on the side without the two holes on the canister. It's the enclosed side...

I’ve had a cheap eBay and now I have a JLT. They work exactly the same in my opinion. The only reason I switched to more expensive was 1.Mounting Location 2. New one is smaller and black( I didn’t like the silver finish on my eBay can). You can barely see her in the lower right corner of the pictureDBD196BC-1AE7-4BAB-849C-1963EBDB7566.jpeg

Some time ago Moe's Performance had some catch cans from BT with a flag engraved on it. I like the way it looked so I sold my original one and got one. I know they are more expensive, but it's done a good job for me and I like to support our preferred vendors.

I wish my engine bay would stay the clean, however living in a pothole infested isolated community with no paved roads accept for the community grocery store is hard to do! lol
