Simple install hope the pics help someone out. The instructions from Elite wer less than to be desired for ,but the lack of instructions wer more than made up for with a quality catch can and mounting bracket imo. The bolt and washer combo I used are from my stock , I felt they wer a better fit than what was supplied with the kit. The picture of the tube on the blanket is the OEM tube that is removed during install of the OCC .
Odering on line was simple , paid with PayPal, and follow up emails from Elite Engineering was quick and effective , they also forwarded me tracking info through fedex. I found Elite Engineering through Oil Catch Cans | Everything you need to know and more! the price was $159.00 for the standard kit with bracket and it comes with everything you need + a couple cool stickers .

My truck is a 14 QC , 5.7L , on Elites Web page the correct one to order is the 06 Dodge 5.7L , weird but I confirmed this with them prior to placing my order

It looks like you can is sitting at an angle. Needs to be upright. It might just be the pic but all catch cans I've seen are upright.

Did some research/looked at 'the guts' on their website and it looks like a pretty decent design as well!
Did you get the "Version 2"?

No , i went with the base model I wanted to upgrade to the black AN hose & fittings , but they said the didn't offer them in the 1/2" I.D. so I just added the barbed stainless fittings . I'm very happy the the mount bracket and the OCC itself . The customer service was great. If you go to order the 2006 5.7L hemi is the latest they have listed on line , I called and confirmed this is the kit for all Ram 1500s with the 5.7L Hemi .

Any particular reason why you went with this CC instead of the BT?
Seems most here are using the BT.

Originally I was gonna go with a BT Occ because of so many here having them , I tried to contact them to get a RED can and had no luck a couple times , then I came across www.oilcatchcan.com and there was a where to buy an oil catch can button and I wound up @ www.eliteengineeringusa.com , I read their info on the design of the head assy on their cans I liked it , they offered a nice bracket and multiple colors to include a Red anodized can with stainless threaded / barbed fittings , diff style hoses , check valves , diff style cans and honestly I was there and it was convenient, so I ordered one and their customer service was top notch with my can in stock and they provided me a link with automatic shipping details with alerts @ each stop. I'm sure BT cans are fine I never really looked into them .

I have a BT,,, Its a nice unit, but their design hasn't really changed in years,,,

BT will 'whine' that others have copied their design, but 'others' do have a few different features that are desirable that BT doesn't have.

But, BT is the place to go if you want 'dress up' stuff. IMHO, they are more into 'dress up' development than CC development.

thanks R.L.K.

Thanks R.L.K. for the great writeup and pictures! I may have to give this some thought and save up for one. The only mods I have done are Bullydog GT tuner, true dual exhause with glass packs and Vararam CAI. Do you think an oil catch can would be a good idea in this situation? Thanks!

Absolutely ! An oil catch can is ideal for any set up stock or mods for performance .. did you read up @ www.oilcatchcan.com if not give it a read , as far as I'm concerned the longer you wait on an OCC , The more oil and gunk your dumping in your throttle body after air filtration ...
