I know I can switch the bulb, but was wondering if there is a way to splice in something more robust. Maybe a light bar or a light on each side?

I believe someone did just that in the best mods under $100 thread (an led bar on each side of the hood underneath).

Thanks! I will try the led bulb first. Then if I need more light then that, I’ll move forward, cheap and easy is the way I like.....mods, lol.

That looks nice. Any reason this couldn’t be tapped into existing pressure/latch switch rather than using the rocker switch in the kit?

You should be able to tap off the hot lead in the loom going to the existing hood light, then just ground anywhere convenient and eliminate the switch & wiring. I'd run both light hot leads to a common wire with an inline fuse.
