Man I just don't have the patience for the really fine detail it takes to tape off the letters on our covers, but I gave it a shot. I think it came out "OK", but I"ll be looking at it closer tomorrow to decide if I'm going to just tape it off and respray the whole center silver again. But for now, here's how it looks.

It has been cleared, but I didn't want to throw it on the truck until the clear had plenty of time to dry AND I had a chance to look at it in the daylight to see if I like it or not. I graduated medical school last month from Okla State, so thats why there's orange... ;-)

I think it looks great! I have been wanting to do something similar to my Hemi hat. But then again I also want to make my own CAI.

Thx guys! My only issue was a little paint run on the letters when I pulled the tape a little too early. That's what I get for trying to finish stuff up at 1:15am. I'll try to get better pics later today when it gets back from the muffler shop. (y-pipe install)

Ya I would suggest that. My exacto knife needed a new blade, but it cut the cover itself really easy. A great fitting sticker with clear over everything would be legit..

Looks great! I definitely wouldn't have the patience to tape off the letters/numbers.

I hadn't thought about that blackout. I'll try that in the next couple of days before I put it back on. Thanks!

Blackout was on the MONEY! Made it a million times better. Now if I wasn't so damn shaky...

Threw some color on the fuse cover and rad shroud also..

Now if I could just find either a good silver hose kit, or an orange thats close to my lettering I can redo most of the hoses. Anyone know if they make colored radiator hoses? I'd like to change it up, but I know painting that stuff is difficult due to heat and the rubber not taking color well.

As always, thanks for the feedback!
