3 steps or rubbing compounds followed by 3 steps of finishing compounds followed by a sealer and then a wax.
They should then keep the shine for about 3 months. Wait where do you live? Kentucky what do they use on the roads in the winter? How much rain do you get?

Polished aluminum is ****, I've road Harley's my whole life. But unless you got a buckle bunny that will shine your shinny for you. Get paint. Cause aluminum sucks trying to keep clean....

Salt in winter, rain every fifteen minutes. I had to relocate to northwestern ky for my job, there's at least 3 car shows or cruise ins going on everyweekend. I'm headed to one tonight actually. I really like polished but then again you can never go wrong with black either I suppose.

Personally I like the look of the Moroso aluminum products. I *think* the aluminum 3gz covers ship this way, and if so, I would just clear/seal them somehow and call it a day.

That is really nice. I just wonder how it will hold up..?

I got the raw steel for the 3g covers, because I am gonna have them powder coated anyways.

That's a coolant over flow for a chally. They hold up great.

No Limits is spot on.

So the picture of the overflow tank is spot on or really close to how the half covers come in a aluminum mill finish?

I would confirm with 3G for a 100% correct answer, my best guess says yup that's what they look like, but I have never seen them.

I have seen those tanks in lots of challys here, and they look pretty slick. Even if they aren't polished to a high gloss.

Damn! My BT cart is now over $400, even with the 20% off!:jawdrop:

Still trying to figure out colors and designer edges ... So far I am thinking everything RED: complete set of caps, hood prop covers with designer detail, and fuse box with designer edge and my logo engraved on top...

Any opinions?

Do you think it is to much red???

All the BT stuff will be the only thing red.

The 3g engine covers, I am probably gonna have powder coated a really light silvery color that has some swirls in it and then the logo cutouts will be black and red...

Alright I'm stuck and I need some help asap. My half covers will be painted black and back plates orange. So now do I go with burnt orange caps and catch can or polished? The only reason I ask is because I have the K&N CAI and the end of the filter is polished so guys please give me some info.

Didn't mean to thread jack guys!
