Hey guys and gals. What I have here is a 2002 4.7 with 159k with a ticking/ratcheting sound that is extremely prominent on the passenger side of the engine. I recently replaced the oil pump, cleaned the oil pickup screen/tube, replaced timing components, exhaust studs/Gaskets and Water pump. This noise didn't exist before all of that.
A buddy said to replace the lifters, and run 5w20 Full Synthetic oil - I did so and it got a tad better, but the noise is still prominent.
It doesn't go away after warming up, and you can mainly hear it at idle/lower RPMs. Oil pressure shows great on the dash.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
