EVIC Problems...

I have a 2013 Ram 1500 with the 7" EVIC system and recently it has been turning off and completely resetting everything as if the truck was never on. Basically it will go through the whole boot up process as if were to put the key into the ignition and start it. It's happened twice within the past 4 days and it happens while i'm driving. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I believe that there is a "recall" for it. More of an software update for it

Thanks for the quick response. I assumed it had to do something with the software. I guess when i go in tomorrow they'll be able to tell me more.

My wife has had a few issues with it in her 2014 grand Cherokee. It's going in Thursday to have it looked at

mine has done that too a couple times, freezes every couple of weeks, got latest update and it froze again when I jumped in my truck right after they were done, radio is being replaced next week

Hmmm, haven't had the issues described but I have had mine not respond to the buttons being pushed sometimes. Kind of acts like it froze, but then it works...idk...

It just started happening this week so I'm assuming it definitely has something to do with the software. I will ask tomorrow at the dealership to see if they have had any other trucks come through with the same problem and let you guys know what i find out.

My wife 13 grand Cherokee had two updates and I think it fixed the problem

I have had issues with the key fob not being detected, but my EVIC is OK so far (crossing my fingers).

Mine did it like 5 times. They put in a new EVIC.
