I have a 2006 Ram 2500 Quad Cab Long Bed and I have searched endlessly for an exhaust for this truck. I'm just looking for a little bit of sound without custom making it myself. If anyone knows where to find one please let me know??? Thanks

ok now in on the PC and see its a gasser . OK .. if you want cheap and just more sound and have the OEM exhaust ... cut the resonator out . The one after the muffler . IMO i would cut that out form the get go . If you want more sound check you tube on sound clips for different mufflers . You like one ... get it and just cut yours out and put the new one one and dump it .

Dave pretty much covered it. You can get the slip on mufflers and bolt it in or get it welded it. You can go from semi tame to full out race muffler on these trucks.

What resonator are you talking about? I just have this huge ass muffler and then it goes straight to the tail pipe. Can I cut that out?

Slide under your truck and shoot a pic of your exhaust from the y pipe back. Im assuming your the second hand owner soooo some of the OEM stuff might be gone already.

I don't have a way to post pics but I'm thinking you're correct. I think I'll just go get a glasspac and custom make it myself. I finally found an exhaust system but I'm not going to pay the money for it. Thanks for your help.

have you heard glasspack? i personally dont like them at all. way too raspy and choppy for me. I like magnaflow the best (deep rich rumble), also borla and aero3030 are good

Glasspacks in these trucks really don't sound to good imo. Look around before you buy or you'll be going through mufflers like hot cakes

Yeah stay away from glasspacks or cherry bomb unless you want just loud with alot of other weird sounds. Seems odd to say but having a cut out sounds cleaner then both of those mufflers. A_F has giving you some good choices to look at, there are others that wont flow as good but also sound good. I feel bad saying I still have a Flowmaster delta flow 40 series on my truck and sounds good... but it needs to go to open my exhaust back up.

i love my flowmaster 40 3" in 3" out and a turn down... love the way she sounds but can feel the loss of power... might be looking to change in the near future...

and as everyone else noted stay away from glass packs... i swear the worst muffler ever made imho

they are no worse then a flowmaster...and I'm not saying that to be a ****, but flowmasters are notorious for rusting from the inside out..

Thanks for the advice. No glasspacs for me. I'll take it from the experts. After listening to some clips I think I'll go with magnaflow. Sounds great and everyone rates them real well.
